Just a fun little something that came out when I gave myself a brain break from work today.
Black and red, green and blue A little orange and purple, too Gives me joy, gives me solace Though it’s use is far from flawless Everywhere with me it goes Helps to keep me on my toes Use it daily, use it weekly Used in ways that are mine uniquely What’s inside, straight from my brain Tries its best to keep me sane Some remembrances, some upcoming Through it always I am thumbing Little marks and little changes Then once more it rearranges Keeps my train upon the track And all my ducks in unison quack Who’m I kidding, in my dreams! It’s not so perfect as it seems But that is strictly user error Some places fuller, some are barer Try to keep up, just can’t do it You would think there’s nothing to it Still, it’s irreplaceable As it makes my movements traceable Thoughts, appointments, special things Shows me what tomorrow brings
